Welcome to Polytx

Welcome readers to Polytx.  Polytx will attempt to address, explain, educate and comment on that trepidatious subject of politics.

Today's society is more polarized than ever before.  The various factions find it even more difficult to find a compromise, to come to workable solutions than ever before in history.  It has come to such a point now, that some do not even seek to compromise, and even see such a thing as a weakness in principle as well as person.

When did compromise ever become seen as weakness?  I truly believe this is a troubling age we live in and we see the divide grow ever greater, as populists and extremists grow in popularity and power.  Is this something good for our republic?  I believe it is one of the many inherent dangers of a free democratic republic, one of many we will explore together.

I do not claim to be an expert in Politics, but rather quite the opposite.  I am little and naive in the company of those who are "greater" and know so much more than I could ever hope.  But I do hope by my writing, to educate, to awaken this great people to the most awesome challenge of our age;  the preservation of our Republic, to restore its credibility and reinstitute its integrity.  This is something I believe is possible.  Writing is a powerful tool.  The ability to communicate by the written word has the power to educate, transform minds and move people where before they would have given themselves over to hopelessness.

In this blog, I will give my opinions and my interpretations of current events in the political forum.  I believe now that our republic faces dangers of ever-worsening corruption and corrosion.  The very foundations of this republic were founded upon, shaky and delicate foundations, that I truly believe are now cracking and crumbling beneath our feet.  We must as citizens seek to rid ourselves of apathy, of notions of powerlessness, to avoid allowing these foundations to collapse and with it, our very cherished republic.

Our founding fathers built this country upon compromise.  Great sacrifices were made for the sake of the foundation of this great republic.  Compromises that we would see today as outlandish and shocking, but at the time they had to be made in order for that fledgling idea, that whisper that was to become the United States of America to manifest itself as a reality.

Also, not only is this country we live in a great republic, but we inhabit a world that is shared with other great nations.  Is it possible for us to work together as our world ever grows smaller, as our borders become more porous simply by technology and knowledge?

I hope to publish on a monthly basis, or most likely as my fancy strikes me.  Some article or piece of news will pop up and spark my writing fire, and a post will come forth.  We shall see where this leads us.  Keep a look out for many posts to come in the future.

Please join me reader, as we explore the world of Politics.  A world that is rife with corruption, with trouble, dramatic movements of great leaders as well as seemingly lowly newcomers.  Walk and learn with me as we explore this dangerous and complex world of Politics.

Thank you for reading.
